Do you think that there is a way we could turn the CG Photo Album into an actual photo album gallery? There is plenty of SourceForge PHP stuff that we could use for free.
Dear all,<br/>Is it possible to start a new forum about real-time OS programming and embedded system programming here?<br/>Thank you
The ability for members to do a negative reputation has been removed from the system due to abuse. At this point if you feel something warrants a negative rep, you can contact a moderator with the issue. They still have the ability to rep someone negatively if needed.<br/>Brad!
This is just something I wished to know. Can a user disable his reputations? How is that possible? I don't see any options for doing that. Also, why is it possible? Don't take it otherwise, it is just I am trying to deduce something out of the answers that I would get for these queries. Rega...
Brad,<br/>Can you add "Search Google first" to the "Before you post" announcement? There have been a lot of posts lately that I have replied to that the user could have solved if just using Google.

do we have thread tool that enable us to view the whole thread if the thread is more than one page? If not, can I suggest that we'll make a tool for it? This helps us to view the whole thread continuously and maybe save it on our disk. Thanks, moore power!

Why were they removed? <br/>I think Negative Posts were usefull and can be usefull again. But to be "nice" to the posters it might be a good idea to disable the Rep Points penalty from them. In other words have the Negative Rep as a fast, targeted "scolding" message for the poster.

The dev-archive navigation bar popup menus do not work. ( The Visual C++/C++ , .Net/C# , Visual Basic )<br/>This is on IE7.0 Beta 3<br/>Works ok on Firefox though
Can the reps be forum specific? Like say, one may be having good reputations in Networking but not good in Databases. But when they will post in databases forum, that may send the wrong signals. Considering CG consists of such wide spectrum of technologies, it should be good to have something like...

What's going on? Firefox has crashed at least 6 times today, and I have only refreshed about 50 pages! There must be a new ad. Seemed to start yesterday, but I didn't report it, as it crashed only a few times.
Is this website only designed for the MS related programming?

Suggestion to improve ease of making better posts:The forum does not maintain focus via Alt+Tab. This impedes efforts of making a 'proper' post. For example, I like to include convenient links, and will do so if it is easy, but if I Alt+Tab away to grab a link, and lose my focus when I c...
I had a few questions...1. What if I wanted a FAQ submitted but not yet added to be considered as an article? (if required I can make a few more enhancements)2. What topics can be covered in articles? I mean, I ask this because it may be possible that there is already an article posted by someone......

It would be intuitive if focus was given to the input field after clicking 'Search'.

Has anyone else noticed that CG seems to be running better in FireFox than IE (6 or 7) lately ?<br/>IE(6 or 7) is doing strange things like not working when clicking on items like the "Rate this post" or "Expand forum to full width".

I ran into an issue when responding to an email message. The problem is that the sender name has a "@" in it, which trips up the server I happen to use. It does mean two ampersands in the recipient's address, so it's understandable to me why it won't go through that way. I'm gues...

See this:<br/> http://www.dev-archive.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84107<br/>Interestingly, a Guest was able to create a new thread. Another interesting thing is that, in the forums view, the UI doesn't show a name associated with the thread
Hello,<br/>How can I change my username ? If I can't, can I ask an admin to rename it ?<br/>Thanks
The thread view count is off. In the attached image, the top is from my user control panel. The bottom is from the actual forum group. Here ( http://www.dev-archive.com/forum/showthread.php?t=405247) is the thread link.
It would be very convenient if someone could provide a new toolbar item named MyThread. After logging in, MyThread would list all treads started and contributed to by the username. It's the same as doing a search for threads by username, but having the code insert your log-on username. This is a...
