DAO Windows XP

If i try to install the "Microsoft Database Engine" (Jet35.zip) on an Windows XP PC I get an error message. What else can I do to use an Access 97 DB with Windows XP and the DAO-Class?

I had the same problem but I installed Access 97 and it worked.If you simply copy the necessary DLLs to make DAO working probably is not sufficient or something is missing.I had to install Access97 to fix this problem.I submitted this problem to Microsoft but I haven't received a reply yet.
