If anyone has the answer the this i'll be sure to rate the post highly.....cause i have already wasted two days on this and its starting get on my nevous......basically i got this dll in com+ configured as a Queued Component (its a vb dll, with a vc++ idl, that allows me to mess about with the number of queues, object pooling bla bla), well this works a treat, the object is quite basic.....However their seems to be a default transaction timeout of 60 seconds for ever one recived on the queue and when a transaction takes longer, as many of them would it moves down to the next queue and a second thread is started from the begining, leaving the first thread to carry on.....as u can imagin this is not what i want, so i started writing an object in to change the intervals in the com+ catalog, however these values just reset when the first transaction comes in again or i get some stange msmq error...in addition i am running msmq in a workgoup environment, not active directory.......if anyone knows how to reset this timeout please reply, as if i can't get this sorted with the next fews days i'll just have to use some proper messaging service such as tibco, but i really don't wanna rewite work again.
