I use the dev-archive site extensively and am very grateful it exists. I have a suggestion for making the search more useful.

There is no way to limit the search by type of content. In particular, some searches return many book reviews. If you are looking for a book to buy, that is great. If you are looking for other articles, the endless lists of book reviews certainly get in the way. it would be very nice to have some categories available. Perhaps check boxes could be used on an advanced search page for things to include in the search. e.g.

[] Articles
[] Book Reviews
[] Forum posts
