Signature Question...

Is my current signature in any way inappropriate for this board?

Better you should ask directly to Brad. ;)

I think that is an acceptable signature. The only thing I could think of is the word Ideal. I've written a lot of programs already, but none of them are the ideal program for the job, or at least I do not claim that (I leave that to the users to decide).
It's also a little strange to put copyright information in your sig, but there's no abjection there either.

I think because the sig is quite discrete, it's quite OK. Of course, the only one who can definitly judge on this is Brad, but since your signature hasn't come to the attention of any moderator, I don't think there will be much objections.

Cakkie,

Thasnks for the feedback. The framework question is in quotes for exactly the reasons you mention. I believe most people have a concepts of the "ideal framework" for their needs or at least a sub-set of those needs.

The purpose of that forum is to hold some discussions on the pros and cons of various libraries, frameworks, and platforms. As well at to discuss some of the newer techniques that go beyond the basics of OO design.

I do not believe in any way that we will develop something that is "Ideal" my any means, but rather provide a repository of information that people can gather items that they need to build their solutions without some of the limitations of other frameworks.
