Afternoon all,

After spending months trawling through visual basic sites and asking the same questions on many different visual basic forums, only to be pointed to pre-written controls. It would be an early merry christmas for one and all if someone could write a tutorial for creating a sliding dockable panel just like the ones used in the Visual Studio .NET IDE, you know where you click the pin icon along the title strip and the panel undocks and slides off screen.

I know you can download this sort of control for free on many websites but I want to know how to write it for myself as I'm really interested in finding out how this sort of control is built.

There are many articles and tutorials on ADO, custom ActiveX textboxes, validation and the like but none on this subject, know one has tackled it before.

I know it's probably a complex and lengthy subject to discuss, but one that would benefit everyone in the visual basic community and one that hasn't be done before.
