i build a program in mfc that is an installer
(from the wizard , there is an option to create an installation application)
when icompile it, everything is fine
when i try to run it i get: that there is no possibility of install my application, i have to update the windows installer
i see that after building the .msi file, there are 2 old files that are now here too:
InstMsiw.exe and InstMsia.exe
i search for the win. installer find a file :InstMsiw.exe when i click this one i get " wrong os version"

i have to say that all was just fine and i already have seen many times my install application.

the difference is now that i change my environnement from win 2000 to xp

i had some research on this topic and ind that there are some troubles because of this upgrade. that somehow the installer InstMsiw.exe did not do upgrade.

how can i fix that problem?
did someone have a similar problem??
all i think i need is to upgrade this file InstMsiw.exe
and put it in a place that my app will know it will take from.( that i dont know exactly where too)
