Viewing windows in an orderly manner...
Hi, recently I had a problem with windows that has left me irritated, baffled and confused. Many times I have folders that store countless little files and in order to get a better grasp on the insanity, I would go to View and select the Details option, which organize everything in my folder in a single alphabetical row, bringing order to the chaos. However, recently, some of those settings would automatically change themselves back. My questions are whether it is something that I'm doing and how can I prevent this from happening? I looked through the Folder Options and such, but couldn't find anything that would help me.
Also, there is this other annoying problem that has plagued me far longer. Whenever I copy a folder(with files in it) into another folder, all of those files inside would go from the "Details" view and into something else. My questions are why and how can I stop this? Thank you in advance.

Well..I do not have installed XP at home...however, just like Windows 2000 there is setting for that. Open an explorer, go to the folder options and look through them. There is one option like 'Save my folder settings' or similar...

XP... go to the explorer tools->folder options and select remember each folders view settings, or open a folder, select details and apply it to all your folders from the folder options again...if you want to just see details all the time.
