I'm running XP Pro and am systematically tweaking the shell more to my liking. On the Start Menu, have been able to attach Control Panel popup directly to the SM instead of it being appended to Settings. That was easy since all the related strings are in Explore.exe. What I'm trying to do now is reduce "Search/For Files and Folders..." to a single menuitem called "Search". This is more difficult because the strings and reg info for the "For Files and Folders..." appendage reside in shell32.dll, and I don't know how they talk to each other. Any suggestions? Thanks!
