Are you kidding?
Yes, I DID. But I found only a lot of general words, but not a word about format structure. :(

The '.bim' format (Binary Image) is a Brother proprietary file format. You might be able to find out more by contacting Brother (http://www.brother.com/usa/printer/contact/index.html) directly.
However, since we are in the XML forum, I rather assume that you are talking about the Expway BinXML format, thus, you would probably need to contact Expway (http://expway.com/) directly...
As far as I rememer, it should be conformant to the international standards 'ISO-MPEG-7', 'ARIB' and 'TV-Anytime'...

I meant that format which is being used in MPEG-7. But it's called BiM, not BinXML. The second name is owned by Expway too, and it denotes an extended version of BiM. I didn't know, that the name BiM interfers with another format name :)
But I thought that specification of this format is open... well, it's better to look for another similar format.

Well...it actually do not know whether the BiM format is already standardized...may be you can check for 'MPEG-7' and 'specification'.
However, take a look at the following site (http://www.wotsit.org/)...
