PnP on locked down machine as standard user?

Hi,

I'm trying to enable Plug n' Play for USB connected devices on locked down machines with a standard user. The desktops are all Win2000 Pro. I don't want to have to relax any permissions on HKLM\System registry keys. Ideally, I'd like PnP to be initiated by a system account while the user is logged on.

Can it be done?

Thanx.

Explain your question just a bit more clearly. An illustration of the problem would be great. Oh yeah, are a Satanist, 'cause I'm Christian, even though my handle's Apollyon and I listen to Marilyn Manson. I don't have any problem with you as a person. I'll still help you with your problem, cause I LOVE helping with computer problems. Let's not start a beleif war here, OK.
