reformatted computer help

i bought a bunch of computers at an auction that were reformated (dollar a comp). When i try to start them up it says operating system not found. I've tryed my boot disk (im using windows 98) and it wont boot up with the disk. All the computers seemed to have been opened up, but i don't see anything missing thats important anyways. the computers are Omni Tech's. I removed a hard drive from one and put it in another computer i got for free that just needed a harddrive and that computer works fine now and it had no problem finding the boot disk.

any ideas

thanks

In BIOS settings change the the boot order. Set it to 1) floppy disk 2) hard disk

Have you checked the pin 0 positions on the floppy and IDE cables? Sometimes you will tell be a slight freeze of the HD or floppy during the boot.
