Wireless networks, HELP
I've read and know a little about networking, but only the basics, i.e. the 3 main types of network (bridge, ring and HUB), and the TCP/IP layers. However I still can't make my network work the way I want it to. I have set up a wireless network and everything seems to be fine, I can get into other laptops through "My network places", etc.. But the problem arrises when I try to use an application over the network such as a game. It seems that I don't understand enough about bridging. To be honest, I don't know what Windows means by "bridging". In the connections window, I can either put the wireless network in bridges section or in LAN section, I don't really understand the difference. I thought one laptop has to have its wireless connection in bridges and all others have to have it in LAN. Another thing is that there is also a "1394 net adapter", I have no idea what that is.
I would really appreciate if somebody could explain to me about bridge, 1394, and how the network could work in a game, thank you.
