Allow more than 10 options for a poll
I was wondering if polls policy can be changed so we can create polls with more than 10 options. Well, I'm not looking for a 100 options poll, but it would be nice to be allowed to create 15 or maybe 20 options for a poll. For instance today I really needed 14 options for a poll and I had to settle for 10. :sick:
I know that creating polls with more than 10 options is possible, but only by moderators. It would be really nice to change the options limit from 10 to 15.

Moderators can add more than 10 poll options somehow. Just remember "We are we from? (Ultimate)" where Mick really picked all ~280 countries in one poll...

Well, I don't want to push it after the change you made to that poll, but you asked for it... :D
Anyway, I was looking for a long run improvement on this, not asking one of you guys to add one or a few more options to a poll each time is needed...

As Andreas stated -- if a poll is valuable, get a mod or me involved and we will help get the other options into it.

I do not think that is is needed that often... But sure a fix is always welcome.

THe answer is 'no' we won't add the feature, but if a poll is relevant (Star Wars characters probably doesn't fit this) then we would be glad to help. Even if the poll isn't relevant (say Star Wars characters), we probably would be willing to help as well.

So, I guess, that means that the answer is no...
Actually the number of your poll entries was more than ten in the beginning...nevertheless, polls with that many options are more or less rare...thus, contacting any of us is a suitable solution... ;)

You must recognize.
THIS POLL ( http://www.dev-archive.com/forum/showthread.php?t=326636) can have more options than "We are we from? (Ultimate)". ;)

I know that ;). I simply wanted to poke a little fun. Besides, as you saw, I added a few options on your Star Wars poll :D. I would have added more, but realized the list of characters I found was way to long to enter them all :eek:
The suggest was a good one, regardless of us not making a change.

May be we geeks need some other number.. something like 2^n or a prime number or number of moderators ;)

We have discussed this before. Since the polls which have more than 10 optins are rather rare, I see no need for this. If you need more than 10 you can still ask a moderator to add some more.
