Problem with "Comments" on the main site
I try to post the comments here (http://www.dev-archive.com/Cpp/data/data-misc/xml/article.php/c8287__2/) in response of Siddhartha, but my comments are not being displayed, whereas I get an e-mail notification about my comments are posted.
This is happening with me second time, any ideas?

I see a test and a test response in two spots on your article. (Making a total of four posts that are tests). Did you have other posts that are missing?
If these test comments need to be removed, let me know and I'll get them removed.

It happend to me too, a lot of times. Until I spotted an error message that told me that the comment must have a title to be published. If you left the title field empty the comment is not posted, but you get an e-mail notification.
I also raised this problem in the Feedback forum last year, but nothing changed. I believe the e-mail notification should not be sent in case of error.

I just sent "bug fix request" to the developers stating that an email notification should not be sent until a comment has been successfully posted. Hopefully they will fix this soon.

I've been notified by the developers (Mark) that this should now be fixed. If you still find an issue with it, let me know.

Yup, you are right, I remember that yesterday (in the test messages) I put the title and they went fine, but prior to that, I usually don't put the title, as I believed that if I'm replying to someone comments then the title will already be forwarded. Anway, thanx :thumb:

Sure, you can remove the test messages.

The best would be to have the title field automatically filled with "Re: "+the title of the post to which one replys.
