Subscription for thread with poll
If one replies to a normal thread ( i.e. a non poll thread ), the subscription for that thread is added by default ( assuming it is enabled for user ).
However, say a thread has a poll and I vote for the poll , but do not leave any post, this thread is not automatically subcribed for.
It would be good to have auto subscription in this case too , since voting for a poll is equivalent to replying to the thread. Right ?

I agree but I think that it should be a checkbox option rather than a default. Some people like to vote without leaving posts.
Along the lines of subscriptions are the moved threads. If you are helping out in a thread and then that thread is moved, so is your subscription. This has happened to me many times and if there are no others posting, this person will not receive help.

You should be able to subscribe to any thread usign the "thread tools" drop down menu at the top right area near the top of a thread list.

The attached images shows where this is. (I'm already subscribed, so this unsubscribes.)

What about when the thread that you are already subscribed to and then it gets moved. Subscriptions should be added to the newly directed thread also. (I believe)

Am not talking about this. What I am saying is, when I post to a thread for the first time, I am subscirbed to it automatically , and I don't have to use the thread tools to subscribe to it explicitly. I would expect a similar behavior when I vote on a poll too. Is it different for polls ?

Yes, it is different for polls. You need to contribute to the discussion beyond just voting in order to be automatically subscribed (assuming you have your preferences set to automatic subscriptions).
