Member status

I joined code guru on 2003. It's been 3 years but still a "Member". I think what I would not do to become an "Elite Member".

As I understand this status is set according to the number of posts posted. I use a Dial-up modem (i.e. through a telephone) and internet connection is still expensive though affordable in our country. So, I get to spend only 1-1/2 hours five to six times a week to browse dev-archive.

I think the status should also be set taking into some account on the number of years spent with dev-archive.

I understand this ploy to make the user participate more. A user may create a dev-archive account and never bother to participate in the forums. But I think myself as a regular participant.

Any word on this Moderators, please?

Just 13 more posts and you'll be a "Member +".

This is an automated setting that is based on number of posts only. there are no date conditions in the default settings of the title list. Sorry.

Well...besides that...a title is just a description of something. People will usually judge base on your answer and not on your title. Furthermore, the joining date is visible for everybody...
