Insufficient Permission error in RSoP.MSC logging mode..
I got a problem with (RSoP.MSC) whenever I try to run this rsop snapin I am getting an error message saying that "The snap-in was unable to generate the computer or users data due to insufficient permissions - Details: Access is Denied".
1. But the administrator(my account) has filled with Full Control permission and also the Domain Admins are in Local Admins Group. Even I have changed the Default GPO by deleteing the current GPO of the Domain and Domain Controller and by replaced it by its original gpo.
2. I have verified whether the system folders are having sufficient permissions are not, everything was in Full Control.
3. I made several restarts and applied the Default security settings.
4. Also, I can able to run the RSoP.MSC in the planning mode, i.e through DSA.MSC right clicking the DC container then selecting the RSoP Planning mode from the Tasks. I am able to run and see the reports in the planning mode, but the only problem relies with Logging mode. It says insufficient permission. :(
5. I have chekced the File and Printer service, Server service and everything is running properly.
6. I read in an article by assigning the "Apply Group Policies for Computers/Users asyncronously at logon" to enabled by using the Group Policy Editor the problem may get solved. But this option is only available in Windows 2000 DC's. rather I am working in the Windows Server 2003 DC. So I cant find any such similar options to set right it.
7. Actually I was working in the RSoP reports through VB by WMI, and one of my colleague gave "Yes" to the changed settings in the Computer Configuration -> Local Policies -> User Rights Management" without my knowledge, now everything becomes tricky. But I have modified all the settings to default but the problem never get over :(
Can you PLEASE help me in identifying the solution for this problem as soon as possible. Awaiting for your HELP.
Regards.
