Multiplatform CDs

Hi everyone,

I have a very general question to ask if i burn a CD on windows 2000 using nero burning software will i be able to read that same data on a linux box(i can't really test this because i do not currentlt have access to a linux box).

If it can't then what is the best way around this so that my data can be read on multiplatforms(windows, linux, unix).

Is there a special software i have to use?
If yes, could someone please name a software that could do this which is most preferably open-source or free

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thank You

Yours Sincerely

Any CD you burn with Nero should be able to be read by Mac OS, Windows, and Linux. I work with all three operating systems and never have problems.

Hi everyone,

Any CD you burn with Nero should be able to be read by Mac OS, Windows, and Linux.

The thing that got me confused was that when i put my mouse cuursor on the data disc to select the type of data to burn a tooltip comes on saying that the disc can be read on all windows platform. The word windows really confused me in a sense that does it only mean that the data can be read on window and nowhere else?

I work with all three operating systems and never have problems.

Is there some configuration that i have to do with the nero software to enable my data to be read on all paltforms?

By the way i am using Nero Express Version 5.5.9.4 TDK

Hoping to hear from you

Yours Sincerely

Just burn the CD in ISO 9660 format.
