If the question is: do love at first sight happen, the answer is Yes.

If the question is: is love at first sight a requirement, the answer is, obviously No.

I'd have to vote YES.

What about blind people? What's the equivalent of first sight for them?Perhaps, it's the first touch? :D

Speaking of which.. have you guys seen the movie "First Sight" starring Val Kilmer and Mira Sorvino? It's about the struggles of a blind man who gained his sight, but then lost it again...

I mentioned this movie because, the first time they met (he was still blind then)... I do remember him touching her face. ;)

I believe in love at first type.

And not only because all my girlfriends have been online!

Have you guys experienced meeting someone you have never seen, and in the instant your eyes met.. BAM! There's a connection: as if you've known each other your entire lives?? Is that love at first sight?

Yes. Although I wouldn't bet on such situation-feelings. You don't know the person, neither if it is really someone you would like to spend your entire life with.

And then the you two started to talk and had an easy conversation. You found out you two have a lot of things in common. You feel this unseen force that just compels you to spend more time with this person...

Love does not only consist of being in the rush of hormon's producing mind disturbing feeling (the "love-makes-blind"-thing). As ideru stated, for me, this is a rush of lust/hormons; and has nothing to do with real love. I don't neglect that it is a good feeling but it's not a persistant one... It's almost what you already stated:

A rush of love like feelings on first sight? Yes of course, although deeper love (as trust, going hand in hand with real love) can only grow in time. A time that brings ups and downs, and if you really love some one you may go through the downs without breaking up. And only if you drop your own ego, you might be able to spend more than a couple of years with someone.

but the question, if you believe in "Love at first sight" :D :)

If Love means Strong strong Attraction, then yes, I believe in first sight love.

But if love defines to be "trust, care, affection, giving without thinking of any any return", I guess no, because you realy need to know that person which is highly impossible in first sight. :D
