Clean up these mess, or else.

Hi all,
It has come to my attention that this Chit-Chat forum has been full, or should I say, SPAMMED with spammy threads like "Congratulations, so-and-so, on your x-number of post count", or "Happy Birthday, so-and-so!", and other nonsense "greetings" threads.

Well Xeon, U r right, but how do say they are nonsense ? No .. its not nonsense as u think , There is nothing wrong in greeting people... it always helps to improve , like if a person gets 1000 points obviously his friends or the person who have gained much from him will always like to congratulate and share it with others , there is nothing wrong in it and it really helps the other guy to improve himself and help others.

Let me remind everyone that dev-archive's Chit-Chat forum is a general lounge, not a place for congratulations.
Is there anywhere written that there should be no congratulations treads ? :confused:

If these "congratulations" threads number just 5% or less out of the total threads, fine. But seeing how 90% of the threads here are "congratulations" thread is totally sickening. Hmm .. right sometimes

If you have nothing to post, don't. Rent a video and share it with your wife, or buy yourself a copy of WarCraft III and play it online. Does it really matters U ?

These kind of "congratulations" thread not only demote dev-archive's creativity, but also insults and sexually assaults dev-archive's professional image and quality. Hmmm .. cant agree much to this statement...

Once again, I strongly warn everyone to keep your posts in check.

So, please be considerate and spare a thought for other members. Or you could bug the moderations and ask them to make a sticky thread where all your beloved congratulations come in.

I think that Xeon could start creating lots of chit-chat threads like 'ice-breaker' series or 'your favourite anything', then birthday/other ratio would be more as he likes it. I promise that I will post in every interesting chit-chat thread.
