I've decided to be your personal trainer, but I have noticed that we're falling a bit behind. Sometimes, ya gotta do what ya gotta do, so I've sent a bulk shipment of performance enhancing drugs to your house. Here's how to use them: http://www.rogaine.com/Mens/?ID=1692

Oops. Your image in the first post didn't show up when I replied. I guess that this was a "Christmas" thread, and posted an old avatar. All in good fun! :)

I'm sure that by this time he has developed sweat glands in it so that he can constantly be shaping it and also nervous control over how his 'stache to get through doorways, etc. (P.S. It's really wierd when you're listening to a song your convinced is being sung in English and ends up being Japanese, or vice-versa)

No actually it's in Nevada...it's for a flying job. This programming thing is just something I do to keep busy on the side. I have been a Pilot since 1971 and flying private jets since 1984...but that field is very prone to layoffs when times are not good...so I do what I can...

In any case: Good luck for your interview! :)

Do you think it would be bad to interview with beard ? Just curious.

Personally, no. Employeers can not discriminate based upon appearances. If you have doubts at the interview you can ask them what their dress code policy is and if they mention beards as unacceptable then you can make your decision to take the job and shave or keep looking.

More for safety reasons than looks...flying at altitudes op to 45,000ft If I need the Oxygen mask due to loss of cabin pressure I want it to seal real tight on my face. You only have about 5-7seconds to get Oxygen on if sudden loss of cabin press before you become a vegatable at that altitude.

Makes sense now. It pays to ask sometimes ;)

I would have shaved an area that was AROUND the mask. :)

I've had a mask(MODEL), obtained from a flight attendent, years ago.

That would have to show DEDICATION!

The job is worth much more than the beard...

That's what I thought when I got a haircut (and lost a few pounds of hair.)
If it wasn't falling out daily, I wouldn't care, but I wonder if it will EVER grow as long!

Turned out to be not worth it. :(

I've had a beard for decades, mostly to hide a scar on my chin. I think people would prefer it (unless I decide not to trim it!)
