Keyboard Speed

Hi all,
A mounth ago I bought a brand new keyboard.
But when I connected the keyboard to my computer I discovered
it is very slow keyboard.
then I went to the control panel and set the speed to full.
but still the keyboard is very slow!!
I remembered that my previous keyboard was very fast and with the same setting in the control panel.

I heard that you can fix that problem from the BIOS
is that true ?
or every keyboard has its own internal speed ?

I need a fast keyboard cause i'm programming with VC6
and to program with a slow keyboard is imposible.

thanks for any reply

You can fix some keyboard settings from the BIOS such as Num lock, but not the key type rate. You should upgrade to the latest drivers. Have you done this?

This is not true. USB is much faster than PS2. You probably need to change your USB polling.

Glad you solved your problem though.

USB is digital,
PS2 is analog.

PS2 is faster (in this case)
i saw this behavior on my machine
in every usb entrace i tried the PS2 was faster.
