fix firewall

can not start xp firewall (sp2), how to fix that manually without reinstall xp? thanks in advance for helps.

Stick in your OS cd and type in the run command...SFC /SCANNOW

Check your system services and see if any of them are disabled. If they are, which ones?Also, you can download a free copy of X-Setup, which is a registry tweak utility. I believe there is an option to disable the firewall. You might be able to find and enable it there.
