Real geeks program in several languages at a time, and like every language for what it is, for its own philosophy and with its own glitches.
Because a language is a philosophy before anything. Even "obsolete" languages show an interesting philosophy that we can learn from. We mustn't forget or blame these languages that showed us the path in past... We wouldn't be there if they hadn't served us in their time.
And a language is an history, from its creation for a more or less specific purpose, to its propagation among programmers.
And, finally a language is a tool that does work better than any other alternative when used at the appropriate place & at the appropriate time. Geeks like languages for what they do well, and don't blindly use them where they behave poorly. Languages will thank geeks for appreciating them to their true value.

Last night a couple of us went out and got drunk...

Unfortunatly after a few you forget where you left your beer so you go and get another..

As you stand up and walk off you accidently kick over and break a few bottles.

Then you get tired of walking up and down getting loose beers, you grab a crate...

After a few more you forget that your sitting on the crate and get another..

Carting the crates around you sometimes drop them and a few bottles break...

Eventually the beer runs out, so you take the car to a bottle store..

Comming out the bottle store you forget what car you came in, and climb into the closest vehicle and drive back..

Upon arival your friends cheer, run up and grab a crate each...

The little get together turns into a full out street party..

Eventually you pass out...:sick:

You wake up the next morning, and look down the street...
