get logged on user fron frontpage

I am setting up a intranet site using Frontpage 2003. I am also in the process of having a co-worker set up a helpdesk application that sends emails, creates tickets, ect..

the helpdesk is a link off of the company intranet site.

What we would like to is grab the logged on user of the pc so we can use it to genterate emails to them when they open a ticket. We also would like to use that username when browsing the intranet site for permissions to certain links.

We dont want to have users receive log on prompts.

Right now the intranet is set up for anonymous, but the end user receives a log on prompt when accessing the helpdesk site.

What would I need to just grab the username?

Thanks.
