Responsibilities:

+ Motivated team player looking for a fast-paced dynamic environment.
+ Incremental re-architecting of source feeds/entries to the pathfinder system while rerouting new structure feed into current system
+ Development of a reconciliation engine to validate correctness of development
+ Participate in a rotational batch support

Required:

+ Sybase Stored Procedure Development (T-SQL) (5+ years)
+ Sybase Performance Tuning and SQL/Stored Procedure debugging (3+ years)

Desired:

+ Perl Script Development (1-3 years basic knowledge and experience. Ability to leverage CPAN, PerlDocs, Perl Man Pages to create new and support existing scripts is fine)
+ Unix/Linux Experience (1-3 years basic knowledge and experience. Ability to work in a unix/linux command line environment. Some experience with unix command line utility, at least the ability to use man pages and other resources to research the use of utilities and unix concepts. Ability to at least read existing shell scripts and be able to modify.)

Optional:

+ Visual Basic 6.0 (NOT Dot Net) - Candidate if has VB experience could help maintain an existing database front end application and help retire this application by migrating it to a multi-tier Java Swing based front end application.
+ Java (Core Java, JDBC, ability to create back end batch processes running in an Autosys type environment on the Unix/Linux platforms) - A very big plus.
+ Business Objects
