Oracle Technical Lead

The role of Technical Lead is primarily responsible for designing conceptual and detailed technical solutions that satisfy requirements, using Oracle Applications.



Typical responsibilities include the following:



Assisting Business Analysts in defining requirements



Recommending and supporting approaches for data conversion and integration



Estimating, planning, assigning, and tracking specific work within a team



Specifying technical designs for others to implement



Defining technical standards and approaches



Resolving technical issues to prevent roadblocks



Articulating the value, benefits, and risks associated with technical solutions



Experience customizing Oracle Applications



Hands-on software development experience required



Proficient in Oracle core technology including SQL, PL/SQL, Packages, Procedures, Triggers, Performance Tuning, and Debugging



Unix and FTP scripting proficiency



Ability to execute the full life cycle of legacy data conversion into Oracle Applications



Ability to execute the full life cycle of inbound and outbound integration solutions



Ability to communicate effectively with users, business analysts and project managers to understand requirements and articulate issues.



Must be able to clearly communicate technical designs verbally and in written form.



Must be accountable for the performance of others



High attention to detail, quality, and deadlines



Ability to support the business development cycle which includes preparing estimates and proposals and delivering presentations to prospective clients



Client management competencies including expectation setting, demeanor, clear and timely communication, and an attitude complementary to service.



Desirable



Competency using Microsoft Project



Proficiency in Oracle Reports 6i and Forms 6i



Working knowledge of Oracle Workflow



Java, JDeveloper, JSP, HTML competency



Supervisory skills including performance evaluation, issue management, mentoring, and staff competency development
