It seems to be a bug.

I have struggled it for days.



My software: Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Academic Edition.



I have started a project, and now when I open the project, I get a message
when I open the toolbox that says "There are no usable control in this group.
Drag an item onto this text to add it to the toolbox."

How do I get my toolbox items back?

I get an answer from web.



If you right click on your tool box you can either click on "show all" or
you can click on "choose an item" and find the control u want and add it to
the group.



I did choose items from a Text area that contains two tabs ".Net Framework Components" and

"COM Components", then I clicked item icons such as"Buttons" etc and pressed "OK".



No way!!!!!!!

The items are still greyout.



Any suggestion is appreciated!
