Article on how to write applications for facebook?

Hey, how about having someone web programming savvy to teach us to write applications for facebook.com? facebook.com exposes some APIs to allow third party developers to develop applications for it. I, for one, would like to write such an article but I lack web programming knowledge.

I also did some research on FaceBook applications. Basically, they do provide some examples on both Web Applications and Windows Applications interfacing with the FaceBook APIs. They also provide client libraries for PHP, Java, ActionScript, ColdFusion, Perl, .NET, Ruby, Python which you can download alongwith web application samples and windows application samples.
And they also seem to provide tools for the Facebook Platform using Microsoft Popfly. Brad recently added a video about Microsoft PopFly here : http://www.internet.com/video/2801.
