Free new copies of older books

I have a few books I want to remove from my "extras book shelf". Rather than taking them to the local user group I run, I thought I'd make an offer here....

I have 3 copies of the dev-archive Goodies book. This book is dated, but it would simply look cool on your shelf :).

I also a copy of Teach Yourself C# in 21 Days; however, this is the first edition, and it is in Hungarian - "C# mesteri szinten 21 nap alatt".

I also have two copies of my first edition C# book, Teach Yourself C# in 21 Days.

While the C# language has changed a bit, the first edition of the book is still a good starting point for C#. It simply is missing a few details on some of the newer features of the language :).

If you want one of these books, then simply submit an article to the site. Once you submit an article, post a response in this thread saying "I submitted article [insert title] and I would like the [xxx] book."

I'll then follow up with you via PM for mailing information. If you submit more than one article, you can request more than one book -- if they are available, but no more than two books per person. I request that you don't sell the copies I'm sending. You can keep them or give them to your local user groups. I also request that the article you submit be of a quality that is acceptable to publish on the site.

Easy enough! :D

Just a side note - most of these books are my own, personal books. These are coming from me and not Jupitermedia. If you are overseas, then they will be shipped in a manner that doesn't cost more than the value of the book (most likely 2 to 4 week shipping). I can't be held responsible for books lost in the mail.

Brad!

Yeah. :)

Everything you do or give away is for people sending articles. What about people posting in the discussion forums? You never give or even promise to give anything to them? Anything to lure us? We make this place the most lively one and are one of the best advertizers for the CG articles!! :)

Okay, Since I still have the above six books, I'll also offer them to forum people. Anyone that makes ten [good] posts today in the techncial forums (chit chat doesn't count, nor does this forum), I'll let have a copy. After doing the posts, you must respond in this thread that you did the posts. You should state which of the books you want. Order of responses in this forum determines who gets the books. Date stamps of posts must be before the date stamp of your post to claim the book in this forum ;)

After posting a claim here, you'll need to email me your shipping address. Send it to webmaster (at) dev-archive.com.

Brad!
(This offer subject to change at any time and in any way)

Sure - I'm going to take people at their word. I still have a copy, so if your addres is a US address, then it is yours :).
