Adverts making site unusable (100% CPU)

It gets a bit silly when you can't subscribe to a thread because an animated advert is using nearly 100% of the CPU time.

Some of the adverts have caused my browser to crash as well, mostly on my older PC running Windows 98SE (which isn't that much of a surprise). But I have had my XP machine lockup a few times due to ads that wouldn't load or ads that just simply locked up and had ActiveX crash.On a more suttle note, some of the VS2008 ads are pretty funny.

If you can take a screen shot of the ad with the Task Manager on the screen showing CPU usage, that helps my argument with the sales people in getting the ads changed.
