Do you mean the dev-archive forums (all of them) or the chit-chat forum in particular?

If you are asking about dev-archive in general then here is what I have to say.

It is the zeal of learning of helping each other that keeps us interested in the Forum. Most of us think that knowledge increases by sharing. And there is not a even single day here when we don't learn anything new.

I'm asking about the whole forum.

It's nice to hear your answer Shuja.
What is also interesting is to see people from India and Romania and other places sharing knowledge here.
I'm personally from Lebanon :)

There are people from all across the world here. And each one of them is as good as others.

It's funny how I already have several posts and the number next to my name is 0. I know the posts in the General Discussion doesn't count and I second this decision.

The Forum has us. ;) (if you are familiar with the Matrix you know what I mean)

I'm here because I like to help others, and while doing that I learn many things myself. And it's great to be able to talk and argue with people from all over the world.

If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.

That's why I exchange more ideas than apples. ;)

I come here to help others and to learn a lot(more of the latter because, I'm not very good :D)

I came here a few years ago to ask soe simple question, and I found that the site is not full of elitist snobs like most other forums, they answered the question with the utmost maturity, and they are all very nice.

I have learned so much from browsing and posting in these forums(and also the great articles), a lot of these people really know what they are talking about.

And I also just love answering the questions for people(when I know the answer) and helping them on their progress, its one of those great joys you get in life.

Can i argue about that with you :D

We dont argue about anything .. we simply have a few heated discutions... ;)

dev-archive is a fantastic place to share knowledge.. Some of our senior members have even bettered there english through the use of CG. (Like uncle Johnny) ..

We help where we can, teach the juniors the basics when asked, advise others on there projects, and even share our own personal projects with each other..

There's a relatively strict guide, but it's easy to follow...

You got your Serious posters, The funny posters, Argumentative posters, Silly posts, etc..

But after a while the regs on the site become like family... and you kinda miss them if you go away for too long... (And this i Know)

Then everyone gets ther moods .. Good moods, Bad moods, Just pi$$ off and leave me alone moods, and even well i'll post in your thread even though i have nothing constructive to realy add to it mood...

Well i think that covers just about every one here...

Gremmy...

Argue does not mean fight. Argue means:

1. Present reasons and arguments
2. Have an argument about something
3. Give evidence of

And we programmers have our own definition of arguments too ;)

Welcome to the forum, how's Lebanon? I've an aunt from there -- considered visiting though it sounds a tad hostile at the moment :|.
