22 year old guy having sex with a 16 year old girl
Hi. Long time reader, first time poster.
I found this in a fitness forum.
A guy, 22, wants to have sex with a girl who's 16. I'm the dad of a 1 year old daughter. I am worried about her enough as it is, but I cant think of how much I'd worry about this if this was my daughter. I'm angry about this guy doing this, am I right to be angry? What would you do if your daughter was in this situation?

I think it's a complex problem. For instance, in many countries, including Romania, girls are allowed to marry if they are 16 years old. Can you stop a 16 years old having sex with her husband? There are countries or ethnic groups where girls marry much earlier. For instance a gypsy girl which is not married by the age of 14 and doesn't have a baby by 14, 15 years old is considered "old". I think it's the same in Turkey (or at least some communities there). Now, I don't approve that, on the contrary, I'm against that, but my point was different people see things in different ways. (And as a side note, there were some heated debates on this issue in Romania in recent years concerning this practice within gypsy communities).
As for that V guy, he's not alone, there are plenty of them. But it's not just them. Girls are quilty too:

V: Yeah. It is. I find it easier than just asking a girl if she wants to ****.
Blonde *Laughs* Its a good line. Just make sure to get two different shirts next time.
V: Ill do that. Anyways. How do you guys know each other?
Blonde: Were friends from school. This is Angela. My name is Tara.
V: Its a pleasure to meet you Angela.
Angela: Its nice to meet you . . . Whats your name?
If she wasn't interested, should would have said: "leave us alone" or something. Point is, she was!
I think that if you educate your girl you won't have to worry about it.

That would depend the values of your girl and her peers.
Recently, there was this letter in the newspaper that a 25 year old guy seduced a 16 year old girl with expensive gifts and dates. The girl was the envy of her friends who admired her for having a older mature boyfriend. And the guy was quite handsome also and said he loved her. And they had sex together. After the girls parents found out, they made a police report, and under the law of Singapore, if the 16 year old girl admitted that she had sex with the guy with her consent, law cannot prosecute the guy. That is what the guy told the girl to say to police before they have a sexual relationship.
