Write protection??

when I try to format my traveldrive it says it write protected. Is this write protection in windows or is it on the drive. Any way to force it off. I can't find a utility that runs on vista or ubuntu.

Remember the good days of 3.5" floppy disks and how on the top left of the back side there was a switch to write protect it? Well, you are having the same problem. Unswitch the write protect switch on the side.PeejAvery at 2007-11-9 13:02:18 >
