Title: Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Technical contributor in the design and development of embedded for Laser Measurement products.
- Participates in cross functional new product development teams as a embedded software/firmware design resource.
- Documents all design activities (generates design specifications, theory of operations, test reports, etc.)
- Key technical contributor in GUI design.
- Expert level skills in QNX Neutrino and Photon programming.

Required Background and Education
1) Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and >8 years of related experience
2) Technical experience in several of the following areas:
a) QNX Neutrino and Photon programming
b) GUI Design (windows, menus, graphics widgets)
c) Familiarity with embedded real time operating systems (such as QNX)
d) Firmware design for embedded microcontrollers (PIC, MSP, PXA, etc.)
e) Embedded firmware development for USB, RS-232, GPIB, I2C, SPI

Addl. Skills:
- Mathematical Skills
- Understanding statistics, digital filtering, sampling theory
- Labview programming
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude, excellent work ethic
