Engineering Leadership Roles in Game Developement!

We are currently engaged by several clients looking for Engineering Management talent, of particular urgency is a need for an experienced, relatively senior, Engineering Manager to demonstrate team leadership and technical excellence within a next-gen game development environment. This person will have approx 3-5 direct reports, and will indirectly manage 10-15 internal resources. The ideal candidate will be a generalist programmer with strong leadership experience, will have the ability to educate and influence his/her team and peers through example and direct action, and will have previously collaborated on an organically developed game engine, or will have worked with a heavily customized licensed engine.
The Engineer will have ultimate accountability for the quality of the games codebase, and will have access to a CTG and development teams to create it. They will also actively participate in product planning through the entire development cycle, with the greatest emphasis on pre-production. A critical deliverable for all phases of development will be technical judgment & decision-making: this person will need to actively seek out information and education from the team, integrate it & consistently make well-informed decisions using the tools and resources available.
